Happy election day everyone!
Let me start off by saying how extremely important it is that you exercise your right to vote today. This election is certainly one for the books but even more of a reason than that is, how much this country has gone through in regards to the history of voting rights. It is an honor and privilege that has been fought for, for decades. As Americans, it is our duty to vote today! Not to mention, we are joining a part of history if we do. Go out there and use your voice, cast that ballot!!
Over the weekend I was craving a nice cup of coffee so I decided it was time for a trip to the city on Sunday. I have been hearing such wonderful things about Ralph’s Coffee on Fifth Ave, NYC and had to check it out for myself. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
It was a little ambitious of Nick and I to make the trip to New York City the morning of the New York City Marathon but travel ended up being smooth as usual. Ralph’s is in the Ralph Lauren store located on 5th Ave and 56th Street. Its a nice, warm, and cozy section on the second floor of the store with a beautiful view that looks out on to the rest of 5th Ave. Just a few short blocks away from Central Park West, which happened to be where the Marathon was held. I had an amazing time watching all the runners with their family and friends walking around joyously/feeling accomplished after the event, I was also very surprised that they were still standing after all of that.
The weather has been so beautiful lately I cannot resist taking advantage of every second of time thats left before it gets super chilly out. To my surprise, Christmas decorations filled the street and stores on 5th Ave. Already, I thought? I know it seems so crazy that we have basically skipped Thanksgiving this year but it was beautiful energy to take in.
I wore a potential Holiday outfit which I felt fit the occasion perfectly! I wore republican red (if you will lol), or just simply Christmas red with jeans, and a cream puffer vest from J. Crew. (If you couldn’t tell vests are my favorite item of this season.) I threw on a Burberry scarf for extra warmth as well. It was very windy out so the scarf helped keep my face warm. The day was certainly beautiful and very relaxing! I definitely recommend Ralph’s Coffee if you’re looking for a low-key, small, coffeeshop. A very peaceful place to spend some time during a break at work. Picked up this super cute cap while I was there as well!
P.S. I had to throw in this gold tote, it was the perfect pop of sparkle/ a great accent to represent the holiday season!
