November is Here!

November is here and you know what that means!! Things start to slow down, shift and become centered around family-time… plus food! I am looking forward to being surrounded by my family once again towards the end of the month. All of my cousins are in college now so everyone is super busy living their own lives to get to hang out as much as we used to. There is something so relaxing about the month of November, its almost like the calm before the storm of Christmas.

Things have been weird for me lately, I feel myself utterly thrown off and obsessed with people and things that judge and criticize others even though I know in my heart, they don’t matter. It just gets to a person sometimes I guess. The goal of the week is definitely to try to get to a place where I can just let it go.

If there is something that I have learned this far in life, its that not everyone is going to like you whether you have done something to them or not. You shouldn’t waste your energy trying to get along or make an effort with other people that do nothing but cloud your life and relationships with negative energy. There is nothing worse, in my opinion, than people who just decide to dislike you for no reason; but what I do believe is that it says way more about them than it does about you.

I am so thankful for all the new relationships with people that I have made within the past few months. And for the old ones that continuously keep me grounded. Its amazing how much surrounding yourself with the right people can change your life for the better. There is always going to be somebody that doesn’t like you but in time, those people begin to get smaller and smaller each day. Through it all, always remain true to yourself and keep doing the things you love. Just as there will always be someone there waiting for you to fail, there will always be someone ready to watch you succeed as well.

(I hope this little tid-bit of advice is able to help someone, somewhere.)

Now, on to fashion!! This fall I have been having so much fun experimenting with my blog altogether. Its amazing how when you just play around with the settings on your camera, the quality of image that you can come up with. I wore another fun, basic, fall outfit featuring one of J.Crews latest puffer vests which I am in love with. The corduroy patching on the vest is something I have never seen before and I think it aligns perfectly with my style (plus its on sale right now). Vineyard Vines also has a similar one in their fall collection as well. I will be sure to link both below.

Another piece that I love about this outfit is my Kendra Scott necklace. I found that it was the cutest little touch that tied the entire outfit together. I have been obsessing over her jewelry lately. Its so adorable! I can not get enough!
