Gymshark Obsession

I started my new job so I apologize for being MIA. I have so much going from now up until graduation so I will do my very best to keep everyone updated on whats currently going on in my life. I do have some exciting work coming to the blog as well that I can not wait to share with all of you.

One of the things I incorporated into my routine this year was working out. I have truly started to figure out more about myself through this process. I am a very anxious person so hitting the gym has become part of my relaxation routine. It is truly what gets me through my week.

I am taking my time learning different workouts and am just starting to get my bearings around a gym. This is only the beginning of my fitness journey but I am so grateful for the positive changes I have seen both mentally and physically thus far.

Part of working out comes with different work out outfits. And a huge thank you to one of my fitness role models, Whitney Simmons for getting me hooked on Gymshark. PSA: For those of you pondering whether or not you want to start your own fitness journey I highly suggest watching Whit. I didn’t even work out when I began watching her youtube videos and they changed my views on fitness. You don’t have to have the biggest muscles or lift huge weights in order to benefit from her videos. Working out is not a diet, its a lifestyle. Whatever your reasons behind hitting the gym are part of your own journey to living a healthy life.

For me, the gym isn’t really about my looks. I have a body that I love so its not about how much gain I can add to the booty. Its a place where I can relax. The turning point for me was going to gym when I had, had a really… bad… day…I suffer from chronic stomach issues as well as anxiety and I was not feeling well at all one day. I decided to go to the gym despite this. By the end of my workout I couldn’t describe how much better I felt. It was truly inspiring. So if you’re thinking of taking that first step at the gym give it a try!

But on to the outfit…

I am obsessed with gymshark. They are a pain in the butt when it comes to shipping and what not but their product are amazing. They don’t break the bank like most athletic wear and I love the trendy look of all the pieces. This Ribbon Crop Top is so cute!!! Its has a nice twist for a basic muscle tee. I paired it with these cool high waisted leggings from Victoria Secret and it showed just enough skin to feel as though you were still covered.

United Tees!

Hey everyone! Today I am super excited to talk about this t-shirt sent to me by United Tees. Their clothing fits my style perfectly so when they reached out to me about working together of course I said yes!

I feel like the amount of small company’s focused on promoting their custom t-shirts has grown in the past five years or so. So many brands are coming to the surface via instagram and other social media platforms, only some of which have seen great success. In my opinion, United Tees is one of the good ones. I was so impressed with the quality of this shirt. Not to mention the cute designs!!

I am going to get so much wear out of this shirt throughout the year. I have already worn it around campus a ton. You can wear it on a casual day in class or you can experiment and dress it up like I did one rainy Tuesday at school.

I paired the shirt with a plaid button-down that went well with the color of the tee. I threw on some jeans, rain boots and I was good to go. I added a statement necklace to dress the look up a bit more but either way looks great in my opinion. I have gotten so many compliments on the design on the back. Who doesn’t love hunter rain boots, bean boots, and cowboy boots!

The company is all about that out-doors, its good to be an American theme. They have so many pieces that are great for year round and I am obsessed with the look of everything! Super classic and timeless pieces. The ultimate preppy tees!

United Tees has been so kind to offer my readers a discount code. Be sure to use my code angela_15 for 15% off your purchase!

Springtime at The Paper Store

If it would just stop raining then we can finally begin to enjoy springtime. I have been trying to make the most of the days where its not raining. On the bright side, I am finally able to walk out of my apartment without my heavy jacket on (sometimes…); But, there is certainly a light at the end of the tunnel. I am super excited because I am one of those people who adores spring and fall. That perfect, in-between temperature thats not too hot, or too cold is what I live for!

Working with The Paper Store has been so fun this season. I hadn’t heard much about it at first but we have one right by my school so I stopped in and instantly fell in love. There is so much more than paper!!! A lot of people I have spoken to think its a stationary and card store when I mention it and its so much more than that. They have everything from clothing, shoes, jewelry, home decor, kids toys, accessories and more. I am actually super impressed with the concept of this store. It’s like your one-stop-shop for everything preppy and timeless. They even have clothing and product geared towards men and children as well.

The brands they carry are endless. They even have Under Armour which I loved getting to try on during their spring open house event earlier this month! The atmosphere of the store is something I love. I was super excited and grateful to come on board as a part of their “blogger squad.”  I attended their open house event despite being super sick and had such a great time with everyone.

One thing I learned about through getting to work with The Paper Store’s is that they have their own line of spring clothing. They carry different brands throughout their store like Life is Good and Simply Southern which definitely stand out but their spring look-book is amazing. All pieces are on point with current trends and I own a few pieces so I can state that the quality is great for the price point.

I love this outfit for spring so much. To me, it feels super cute with a trendy edge to it. All of the pieces are so versatile and can be made into a bunch of different looks for all occasions. I have been wearing the MIA boots on repeat before it gets too warm out to reach for them. They’re a great transition piece for this in between kinda-winter, kind-spring weather we are having lately. And this dress can be both dressed up and dressed down which means I am going to get so much wear out of it, I can’t wait!

One thing that is perfect about The Paper Store is that they have all your accessories in-house so you can literally create head to toe outfits and walk out the door. I paired my look with this fedora and it gave the outfit an entire different look altogether. Needless to say, I am obsessed!!

Here’s a few more photos from the spring open house event that happened earlier this month. The company is always having something special going on so it’s worth it to head over to their website for the 411:
